It's "that" Time of Month

 Here's a good one!

INSTALLING A HUSBAND

Dear Tech Support,

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and
noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0.

In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5, and then installed undesirable programs such as NBA 5.0, NFL 3.0  and Golf Clubs 4.1.

Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system.

Please note that I have tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.

What can I do?

Signed,
Desperate.

DEAR DESPERATE,

First, keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while
Husband 1.0 is an operating system.

Please enter command: ithoughtyoulovedme.html and try to download Tears 6.2 and do not forget to install the  Guilt 3.0 update.

If that application works as designed, Husband1.0  should then automatically run the applications Jewelry 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.

However, remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to  Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Beer 6.1.

Please note that Beer 6.1 is a very bad program that will download the Farting and Snoring Loudly Beta.

Whatever you do, DO NOT under any circumstances install Mother-In-Law
1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources.)

In addition, please do not attempt to reinstall the Boyfriend
5.0 program. These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance. We recommend Cooking 3.0 and   Hot Lingerie 7.7.

Good Luck Babe!

Found this article while wasting some time online......

It's always there. Waiting and calling to you. Fark. Reddit. Facebook. Dolphin Olympics. It may take only a couple minutes out of your day, but you know you're wasting time on this stuff whether you should be working on that spreadsheet or washing the dishes.

Time-wasting, or rather "chronic procrastination," is hardly a laughing matter, according to Professor Joseph Ferrari of Chicago's DePaul University. According to an insightful story in UK's Observer, it's a profound "social and economic" problem and, thanks to technology, it's far worse than you could ever imagine.

Procrastination isn't just idle laziness. There are real social consequences to wasting time. Per the story, "it encourages depression, lowers self-esteem, causes insomnia, and indirectly affects health by discouraging visits to the dentist or doctor. Sufferers are also more likely to have accidents at home involving unmended appliances." Makes sense if you think about it.

Of course, it's the economic impact that has businesses more concerned. Distractions aren't just limited to the lure of the web. That little chime that rings when an email message arrives, says research from Calgary University, causes a 0.5 percent drop in the Gross Domestic Product here in the United States, costing the country $70 billion a year, as employees are distracted from the task they're supposed to be focused on.

Tech is the real driver in this trend, which now impacts 1 in 4 people, up from 1 in 20 a few decades ago. But some scientists say procrastination is hard wired in our brains: People have always wasted time, and evolution may be responsible for developing an "automatic response" mechanism inside us, one which innately told us to drop the cave painting and run if a tiger came sniffing around the cave.

On the other hand, some say procrastination is still useful in tiger-free times: Earlier this year one study found that personal web use (including video games and social networking) helps employees get their jobs done more efficiently (and raises profits) by fostering a "trusting" environment and helping staffers feel at ease in the workplace. Obviously there's a fine line between "wasting time" and "taking a little break." Where that line actually falls remains a mystery.

Now stop reading blogs and get back to work.

 Happy Weekend

Well its not that time of month but I'm here anyway.  I haven't been around much - way too many irons in the fire for me!  I so wish I had more time to post and read other blogs and comment and, well, I wish I had a life!!

My work has taken me on the road lately and although I love to see and experience new places, I was SO glad to get home this week again.  I was to take another trip later this month, but those plans are falling to the way side very quickly......... I need to look for a new job!

I wonder what I would do if I wasn't doing what I do now! I wonder who I am when I'm being who it is that I am.

Life is such an endless circle of ups and downs and going all around. My endless circle of craziness is just not slowing down and seems to only get crazier the older I get.  When will it ever calm down to a point where I can actually spend a day not worrying about the next minute or the next hour....will the time ever come where I can just be me without the worry and stress and guilt?

And enough of that!

I had a 10 minute lull before going home for the weekend. I'm planning on enjoying this summer weekend - hopefully its nice out.  Today was rainy and windy and just plain miserable.  I would love to spend Sunday next to the pool enjoying the sunshine.  I haven't had any time to enjoy the summer yet this year - so I'm really looking forward to this weekend.

 more post and run fun!

Well the weekend was almost a complete bust!  It rained pretty much the whole time, my husband was a total asshole, my oldest daughter was being her moody self, my mother annoyed me and everyone else, and I'm left with the messy house and had to go to work this morning..... why didn't I take today off?

I wasn't off to a good start today either - I left my power bar for the laptop at home - so I worked a full two hours before the thing shut down on me.  I had to go buy another one for $70.00 - which I'll expense to the company because I should have an extra one anyway - but it's still money I had to part with today.  AND I left my debit card at home today too - so I can't buy myself a lunch!! I never have cash on me, so I'm pretty much screwed.  Sure glad I brought breakfast or it would have been a really long day.

I'm waiting to hear back from my oldest daughter today. She drove home yesterday, an 8 hour drive, and when I texted her around 7:00 last night, she wasn't very chatty - one word answers! So I know she's mad about something...... she's as moody as her father and man is that annoying!!

My second daughter found herself a place to live this fall while she goes to college. She got a nice place and is sharing it with two others. I'm not too keen on the two she's sharing it with - they are a 'couple' and I see lots of drama happening there. I wish she had someone else to live with - but at least she knows them and we'll deal with whatever comes up.  And I'm sure it'll come up!!

I already have plans for her room too - she'll be totally moved out by the end of August, and I'm hoping to set up the office in there once she vacates the premises.  Don't get me wrong - I'm going to miss her like crazy! But I'll sure be excited to have the extra room. LOL!

Well this is another hit and run post, unfortunately. I wish I had more time to do this - I have lots I need to pour out, with no time to do it.

I need therapy!!

 Another new month of fun!!

Well I see it's been a while since I've been talkative enough to post something.  I've survived another round of "that time of month" and now I'm onto green pastures and cheerier days.  It seems like every month gets worse and there are new little 'symptoms' popping up!

However, my mind is clear once again and I am thankful to be feeling a little more like a human being instead of a bear coming out of hibernation.

This weekend my family is all coming home for Father's Day.  Ever since my dad passed away a couple years ago, we've all made it a point to get together for Father's Day in June.  I come from a large family, so this involves about 8 families of kids and spouses and boyfriends and girlfriends and even a great-granchild (for my mom).  My kids will all be home and I am looking forward to spending some family time with everyone.

I'll also be glad when they all go home again! LOL!

Work is crazy busy right now. It should be our slow time of year, but for some reason that never happens. "Slow" is not in our vocabulary around here. I wanted to take a week off the beginning of July, but I found out yesterday I'll be travelling across the country again for 5 days.  This time I'm going to try and convince one of my kids or possibly my husband to come along. They can be tourists while I work and I can have some company for the evenings and pretend I'm on holidays.  We'll see how that goes!

Well I'm doing a post-and-run today, so I guess I'll have to post more later....... there's running to do right now.........
